A `Where’s Wally?’ style hunt took place on Saturday (29 October) as visitors to the Community Centre tried to find themselves in a giant photographic mosaic.
More than 500 faces including pets have been turned into the image depicting the Old Town Hall, which has been created by members of Reigate Photographic Society.
The Community Mosaic has taken 18 months to produce and was kindly printed by Reigate-based Canon UK before being unveiled to the public during Reigate Photographic Society’s annual exhibition at the weekend.
“This is a wonderful piece of modern art which will hang in the Community Centre for a long time to come. There are a lot of people to thank for its creation including the Reigate Photographic Society, Canon UK and, of course, the 500 people whose faces have made it possible,” said Rev Clive McKie, minister of Reigate Methodist Church, the main sponsor for the Community Centre which opened in April this year.
If you want to find yourself in Reigate’s Community Mosaic, just pop into the community centre where you'll find it on display in the Hub cafe area.
