Let them eat cake !

Reigate Community Centre was abuzz on Saturday morning (1 October) as around 250 people enjoyed coffee and cakes. Methodist Church member Anne Miller decided to celebrate her 20 years of running a coffee morning for MacMillan Cancer Support by holding the event in the centre rather than in her home.

The switch to the new building attracted ten times her usual crowd of supporters and helped to raise more than £500. “It was a very busy morning and, as well as raising money for a good cause, the event attracted new customers to The Hub Café, so hopefully has helped to put it on the map,” said Anne.
