Is your face one of the 500 images in the Reigate Community Mosaic? If it is, then come and find yourself on Saturday, October 29, when this unique artwork will finally be unveiled to the public.
The photographic mosaic was the brain-child of the fundraising committee and has been designed by members of Reigate Photographic Society and printed by Canon UK. From a distance, spectators will see a modern art image of the Old Reigate Town Hall, but closer inspection will reveal the 500 photos of local residents which have been collected during the past 18 months.
The grand unveiling will take place at 10.30am at the community centre, and visitors will also be able to view the Reigate Photographic Society’s annual exhibition taking place in the sports hall. Up to 200 mounted prints will be on show and around 100 digital images will be relayed via a television. The exhibition runs from 10am until 4pm and members will be on hand to answer photographic and camera questions from the public.
