Feeling stressed or anxious, or needing some ‘me’ time?
Then Reigate Community Centre has the answer. Every Tuesday morning during term time, Rev Clive McKie, minister of Reigate Methodist Church, will be hosting a “Rest and Reflect” course during term time. Each 30 minute session will begin with relaxation techniques, followed by meditation based on the Ignatian or Benedictine Christian traditions. Rest and Reflect is a course which requires no religious background, and is designed to give adults a place where they can be still and quiet in a prayerful attitude.
“It may appeal to people feeling anxious, or stressed-out, or to those who simply want to explore their own spirituality,” said Rev McKie, who will be using skills he has developed over many years as a prison chaplain and with the help of st Beunos Ignatian Spirituality Retreat Centre.
Rest and Reflect is a free course for people aged 16-plus. It will be held in Room F4 of the Reigate Community Centre, every Tuesday during term time, from 9.30am-10.00am.
To ensure a peaceful half hour for parents, grandparents or childminders, a crèche will be available.
The dates for this term are: 11th September to 18th December 2012 (NOTE that there is no Rest and Reflect on 30th November which is Half Term)
